Mary Jane Garden Marijuana

Since the early ’90s cannabis advocates have been pushing for a re-evaluation of the weed for medicinal purposes. The growing awareness and acceptance of medicinal marijuana as a viable option to treat certain disorders are now being thoroughly studied. As of 2018, 33 states including Washington, D.C. have legalized the use of medical marijuana. And to this effect, a lot of online seed banks have been sprouting left and right. One known reputable source is  Mary Jane’s Garden marijuana seeds online. The influx of the dispensaries is also widely noticeable with the legalization in so many states.

One common disorder known to be cured by medical marijuana is pain. Be it mild or chronic, the sedating prowess of marijuana is a huge help in pain management.

Studies on Pain relief

A Health Affairs paper was the finding that among the states that have reported cases of patient-disclosed qualifying disorders. This shows that there are more known users than what is appearing in the various registries. But whatever data was available, it showed that chronic pain accounts for 62.2% of registered cannabis patients’ preference to treat this disorder. This data may be showing the reason for the shift into an alternative process of education that is safer and less harmful than opioids. People are now starting to be more vigilant of the harm opioid use may bring to the individual, especially if you are a chronic pain sufferer.  One researcher even commented that since a majority of the states have accepted and legalized the use of medical cannabis, it could be high time to re-evaluate the regulation of cannabis and slowly include cannabis into the practice of medicine.

CBD and Pain

CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the many compounds found in cannabis. This is regarded a the compound associated with the healing and restorative powers of cannabis. Unlike its sister, THC, which is known to cause the intoxicating high and is considered a cause for the risks associated with marijuana use. CBD on the other hand was found out to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. CBD can come in different forms as a high CBD marijuana strain, CBD oil, and CBD infused munchies. They are readily available online and in dispensaries located in states with legal medical cannabis use. But the quality control of these products has yet to be tested. Some argue that CBD is not yet ready to be used as a first-line treatment for chronic pain. nevertheless, a lot of medical cannabis users swear by its pain management abilities.

As long as there will be more clinical trials conducted, a positive outcome may just be on the horizon.

CBD and Health Benefits

CBD has been highly regarded for giving various health issues. The strongest evidence is its ability to treat severe childhood epilepsy syndromes. Anti-seizure medications have not responded well to these child seizures but CBD has strong and documented evidence that CBD has stopped these seizures. However more human testing on CBD and how it affects inflammatory and neuropathic pain are needed to further validate its healing properties.

Bottomline on CBD and Pain

Currently, CBD is made available as an unregulated healthy option to cure pain. But some CDB makers sell CBD as a cure for cancer, which is not very false. The need for more research involving humans and the effect of CBD on their pain is highly important for all of us to move forward. Maybe soon, we may see  CBD as being a widely accepted option to cure anxiety, insomnia, and pain.
